Ha! Look at all the old fogies! Just remember, ya'll be fossils before I will! Anyone want me to grind their food for them? Can I get you a walker? Too bad! 8-) A few weeks to go for 7 years but I got quite excited about food grinding as I qualify on age. (Hitler and I were contemporary Earth dwellers for about 3 weeks) Then I read "Just playin' guys". Oh well 'Chew long and swallow' Regards, Hagah the Wrinkly |

Oh well 'Chew long and swallow' Pretty good sense of humour, too :o) Sure gave me a good laugh. Still haven't made it to the top of my class, though it won't be long now - June 9th, 1999 is my join date - wow, it's really been a long time. Must be getting old myself...(I'm 31 now). Keep up the good work, people :o) Simon. Donate to SETI@Home via PayPal! Optimized SETI@Home apps + Information |

May 1999, age 70. :-) One of my first systems was a Decstation 3100, 16mb ram, 450mb disk. Because of the need to page to disk, it took 14 days to complete a WU. Berkeley discontinued support of that group of systems, so I had to go to using PC's. |

Thank You Pappa - Glad to hear the Good News and Happy New Year to You & Yours . . . > what i am 'pointing' out - is the 'discrepency' on the following Link / Page - which doesn't make any sense The SETI@home Class of Feb 29 2000 see Number 2455 - that's me - notice the Results Depicted (none) as opposed to that which my Profile shows 1111 WU's Claim your SETI@home Classic workunits Your current SETI@home/BOINC account is already linked to a Classic account. ============= Nobody [/quote] |

July 6, 1999, so 7 1/2 years (in 5 days). Hey, we’re doubly contemporaryâ€â€weakly similar at least. ;) I’ll be 45 in four weeks. (Can’t believe I can say that … any more than that it’s been almost 7.5 years since I installed S@h Classic on a 66-MHz Power Mac.) |

it is good to see such a large Group of old Members... I prefer the adjective experienced to old. BTW, you can think of experience as "credit" earned outside of SETI@Home and the rest of BOINC. If you're really stressed by the recent SETI or Einstein hiccups, you're lacking experience. Happy New Year!! |

I joined 22 May 1999, not the earliest one on this thread but maybe the oldest at 56. Still crazy after all these years. 18 May 1999 and sneaking up on 70. Still drive to fast.. and love of flying still there. When we finally figure it all out, all the rules will change and we can start all over again. |
