I'm going to have to ask everybody who joined in 1999 to stop crunching for 4 years, so that I can catch up!

Congrats to all the old-timers on your 7 year itch!

Congratulations to you, Chris!

According to my account page I'm in the seven year club, too (1999-04-03). But at this time I neither knew anything about the project, nor I had a www-connenction.
I joined 2004-12-20, but SETI-admins aren't changing it back to this date...

So be lucky, that you have your right sign-up-date, I'm afraid I'll never get mine back...

I joined S@H sometime before 2000, but then dropped out for several years. When I rejoined, it was a new member. Is it possible to find out information about my old account, like date joined, credits, etc?

Welcome in the "7 year club" ;-)

And for many of us - the ID nummer (seen in the avatar) reflects our World Ranking Position in SETI Classic at the time when Seti Enhanced started (in spring 2005).

Happy New Year to all from Norway!

No, it was from the first Classic Database Merge. I believe this happened on May 14th 2003.

Congratulations on 7 years.

Currently, in this thread, it seems pschoefer and I maybe the oldest members - joined 3rd April 1999.

Anyone earlier than that around?

What was the launch date of SETI@Home?

Sorry to disappont you but that date was given to many participants erroneously in a database merge. I don't think there are any real join dates prior to may of 1999, other than project staff.

The actual launch date was late june 1999 if I remember correctly.

I've got a way to go before I get in the 7 year club! Congratz to all who are there already!

I can't remember why I joined up - for some reason I just "knew" that the Seti project existed and that you could contribute with your own PC. I think I read it in a book somewhere years before - but not sure. Anyway, I got crunching, with nearly 15,000 Classic units and 115k cobblestones at the moment. Still going strong (assuming the No New Work problem gets fixed soon!)

Happy New Year to all ...

Steve.
