boinc should have a server(s) status page like seti classic. at least then we as donators have information more often. we as boinc donators are more then lucky if we get info once a day. which is absurd. using your donators cpu time is not like breathing air. you can call version 4 a development release. but in your words boinc was ready for the public and out of beta. let me put this polite. calling it a development release is not what mature people would do. you are taking your donators cpu time as if it is your playground. serious science through distributed computing means you must take your donators serious. and yes, calling your donators donators instead of users would only be a very small step in the right direction. you want us to take your science serious, we do, otherwise we would not donate our time. is it so much to ask to take your donators serious then? act on it. |

Actually, they *do* have a status page for SETI BOINC. Unfortunately, it appears that it's on the same server as the "scheduler" so that when *that* is down, the status page is down as well. When it's up, you can find it at http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah_status.php |

The correct link for the status page is: http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah_status.html and seems to be working fine. |

As I mentioned in my original gripe, I bookmarked it off the original page a couple weeks ago when it was first announced. Wonder when/why it was changed?!?! |

Wonder when/why > it was changed?!?! > Another problem -- The page is *not* correct -- or there's something wrong (external to SETI/BOINC) preventing connection to the scheduler, however, since I'm able to get here, I doubt it. I would *really* like to see a status page that is more automated... especially since it doesn't appear that the schedulers are reall up and/or responding, but the status page statest they are up and running. So, which is it... ARE they up? If so, why can't anyone connect to 'em? |

Looks like whatever was b0rk3n they finally fixed, 'cause I *finally* got connected for the first time in nearly 12 hours... I still say it would be nice if the status page were more automated so that it would display the *real* status... |

When this date is out of date, it could be a hint that the other services on "klaatu" (which responds under the same IP) might not work either. This problem has been there in Seti Classic a few times too. |
