looking for harmonics in seti is kind of branchy , I ll be interested to see how this will be handled in GPUs, and the vectors need to take decision per vector. We will see. who? |

Yup, Devaster is still working on it :) How you doin'? And how far off? How much of a rewrite is it all going to be?(!) How 'doable' is the idea? Happy crunchin', Martin See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |

Yup, Devaster is still working on it :) 1. used RapidMind platform 2. for now only small technology preview (no optimizations,no exception checks) 3. not so much but hard (not time for doing that).... |

for now i havent time for coding but i do what i can ... I well sympathise! Anyone else around to bring onboard or to help? Also, have you seen this post on the Boinc Projects list? ...I am Black Hole Sun, administrator of the Alliance Francophone forum. I have been invited on this mail list by David Anderson (thanks). I am also the leader of a restricted group (4 persons) of my team working with a private company who develops directx libraries for computation on GPUs. OpenGL libraries are on the way too. This company is ready to grant the use of these librairies to Boinc projects (for free) but they can not dedicate too much time on this voluntary project. Therefore, the mentioned "GPU Group" of the Alliance Francophone has worked on preparing everything, from contacts with the projects to technical and licence matters. On our side, everything is ready to start with the test phase. We now need to get in touch with each Boinc Project Administrator in order to start with this new approach. So far, only the client side should need modifications to call the libraries and no modification seems to be required on the Boinc side. Tests will confirm this. If you are interested in testing these libraries, please send us an email with your name and the project your work on to : gpu at boinc dot fr [...] We will give you more information about this new approach in our reply. It might be interesting to see what library functions they offer. Just take care with what the proprietary/commercial aspects entail and whether you will just be their 'free' debug team.
