I have a hardware firewall. What ports do I need to open for BOINC to connect? I tried to do a keyword search but didn't find anything.

Do I need to open up port 80 for *incoming* connections from setiathome to my BOINC client, i.e. does the BOINC client listen on port 80?

I think the client initializes all communications on port 80 so it does not listen there. It does listen to port 31247 (I think, something near there anyway) for the future CLI-GUI combo client but that is not needed yet.

BOINC gui 3.19 listens to TCP port 31416 in my case. This undocumented listening may cause some trouble when Windows XP SP2 is released...
