I just discovered tha answer to the mod 'problems' (actually, they are not the problem)........ I was gonns post a comment, then I didn't. Self moderation seems to be the prime number!!! Worked for me, but I'll bet that within 2 hours, this thread will be bopped by someone who cannot contain themselves. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

LOL If you knew how many times I have done that, written a loooong scathing response to a post, where I have clicked "Go back one page" at the top left corner of my browser instead of clicking the "Post reply" button below. ;-D "I'm trying to maintain a shred of dignity in this world." - Me |

I know just what you mean.....read somethin' that really turns your crank, type out a response that you think fits the instigator, and then WHAM.....common sense makes you delete the thing. If I only was a mod............. But that was another old comedy thread I posted a while ago.. BTW, how is Bouncer doin'? My kitties say Meow. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Yes, you kind of get it out of your system while typing and then you think "I'm the better person here, I'll just let them show how they are". And then ::shrug:: Yes, that thread. LOL You were lucky, there was an another thread where someone were being a little humourous about the mods and it disappeared some times and came back, so some of them seem to be very sensitive. :-O Bouncer Jupiter is doing fine, she's having her daily fit right now where she's running around in the place, up to the top of her climbing tree and down again, and another round and up in the climbing tree again and down again... I am about to figure out what pic of her to use in the Christmas card to the vet this year. I make one every year. I think I'll take the one from my profile and then put a pixy hat on it and a nice frame around it. And I have to find a nice pic for my own Christmas card for this year. Bouncer Jupiter says cyber Meow to the kitties. In real life she would have said Hiss and Growl. "I'm trying to maintain a shred of dignity in this world." - Me |

But Bouncer was just doing her kitty posturing thing. I love it when they go crazy and start running around for their own entertainment. Nice to communicate with you without any fear of mod intervention. But I guess civility is all it takes, and that's what this thread was all about. Silent nite............ Kitty nite............. All is calm............ All eyes are bright.... But I'll save the rest for closer to Christmas. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Oooh I can't wait for some kitty poetry and carols. :-D Yes, they need to burn some energy some time and it's so funny to see them come pacing on two legs around the corner. Here, where I live right now, there are four doors, so you can actually walk around in the apartment in a circle, so she's pacing around in this with some pauses up to the top of the climbing tree and down again. Before, when I had my two old cats, we lived somewhere else, where the apartment was in a U form, so they could pace after each other in that U. And you could see they took turns in leading the pace. And it's so funny with Bouncer Jupiter, because when she has been sleeping in the bedroom on the bed, of course, and she wakes up and wants to go into the living room and to the kitchen to get a snack, she doesn't take the direct route through the door between the rooms, oh no, she takes the other route through the three other doors. She needs to patrol to check that nothing has happened in the bathroom while she was sleeping and to get some exercise. And she has got the idea that she likes to sleep under my cover. This is one of the times where you could see her, many times all I can see is a small bump on the cover. Also while I'm sleeping; I can wake up by her pushing to me with her nose and then I lift the cover and she slips inside and then we fall asleep again, me having a little heat unit beside me. If I could purr like a kitten, I woulda' had so many gf's when I was younger that there would be no way I'd still be single at 50. 'S OK, otherwise I would not to be able to afford the upkeep on the computers and kitties. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Or could afford to keep so many kitties with food and all... No, the answer to the mod problems is to purr like a kitten in your post and to caress that ultra-soft spot just under the kitty-ears on each other. "I'm trying to maintain a shred of dignity in this world." - Me |

Guess we should go from compu-mods to kittie-mods. EDIT......But I am sure it's been said that riding roughshod over this forum would be like herding cats........... "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Exactly, and Bouncer Jupiter will happily volunteer for the position. And how hard can it be? I think these guys are whining too much. :-D "I'm trying to maintain a shred of dignity in this world." - Me |

99% or more of the posters do this. The problem is that other 1% or so. And of that 1%, 99% merely raise a stink. The remaining 1% causes change - good and bad. |

99% or more of the posters do this. The problem is that other 1% or so. Sometimes, I even amaze myself. There's a good side to maturity after all. I just don't wanna do so 24/7. |

LMAO Yeah, those cat herders! Luckily I don't have any of them around where I live. I had a girlfriend who lived a place where there lived a cat herder near by, and every night about 2 am she was roaming the streets while she yelled "Come kitty kitty kitty" and banged on a pot lid with something. My girlfriend became a little bit tired of this, so she went to the lady's house one day and rang the doorbell to ask her in a polite way if her herding could be a little more silent. The lady who opened the door was very surprised that anybody could feel offended by her herding, and she refused to stop yelling but she agreed on stop using the pot lid to bang the kitty home with. But she was very worried that kitty might not come home without the banging. I heard another story about a cat herder, who used a pair of scissors to cut the cat home with. He usually used the pair of scissors to cut the meat for the cat, so the cat knew and reacted on the sound of the cutting, so at the night he was roaming the streets while yelling at the kitty and cutting with the pair of scissors. And here's the story, one night he was stopped by the police, who saw a man running around in the streets with a pair of scissors in his hand, and they had a hard time believing him when he told them that he was out to cut the cat home. LOL I don't know if the story is true, but it's funny. "I'm trying to maintain a shred of dignity in this world." - Me |
