We have a special event starting 1 December 2006, every 2 months we do a team building exercise we call an "Aussie Assault" (AA). The next one is AA4 and on SETI. We're hoping for a lot after the first three AA's. Maybe we can pick up a place or two in the team rankings. For more details see this post. So don't be surprised if you see as pushing things a bit and making strange posts, the team gets very excited about these AA's. As do some of teams close to our ranking. PS: If you're Australian and would like to help, please check out the link above. It has a link to join the team, thanks. We could use all the extra help we can get! ;-) Click here to join the #1 Aussie Alliance in SETI |

(quietly confident that this assault will be as successful as all the previous AAs) AA1 was on Malaria Control, AA2 was on Tanpaku, AA3 was on RieselSieve. |

Day 1 of the Assault (remember - most of the BOINC@AUSTRALIA team are in Australia. East coast Australia is 11 hours in front of GMT/UTC ) The team has already gained two positions in the rankings. Started the day in 48th position, now 46th. http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/top_teams.php?sort_by=total_credit&offset=40 |

Definitely right John - I noticed some work goes back several days in my pending. It all adds up in the end though - just takes a little longer for the values to change. Anyone else out there who is an Aussie or "Aussie at Heart" come and join us in Australia's own team BOINC@AUSTRALIA. You still have time to join us and also take part in our current AA4 (Aussie Assault 4) on Seti. |

Almost up to full steam now. One of my PC's went crazy on the downloads :-( and had to finish heaps before it could start on SETI. Don't know why, but the stupid P3 thing downloaded more LHC, WCG and µFluid work units than my fastest P4!! I'm afraid to mention that at LHC for obvious reasons. ;-) Oh, before I forget, anyone else noticed our overall output is increasing too. :-) Click here to join the #1 Aussie Alliance in SETI |

Our output was only 87,000 yesterday! :-( Hope it's all going in to pending. Mine's still around 1,500. Click here to join the #1 Aussie Alliance in SETI |

I reckon a significant proportion of the teams output has gone into pending. I'm running a single machine and at one point my pending was just over 1,000! It's down to 650ish now because I've been down to 50% SETI for the last day or so. Glad to say I'm now back up to 100%! |

Mine hit about 1,750 just over an hour after I posted the first one. "It Happens"! Now it's 1,905.46. Looks like there's going to be quite a bit in the bank. ;-) Click here to join the #1 Aussie Alliance in SETI |

Anyone else noticed a change in the work unit deadlines? I have some now that are due 20 days before ones I already had. Very strange. Click here to join the #1 Aussie Alliance in SETI |

Anyone else noticed a change in the work unit deadlines? I have some now that are due 20 days before ones I already had. Very strange. Yes. The time to deadline varies according to the AR (which affects the expected crunching time.) Go Aussie! (now, If I could just unwedge this Linux box from crunching other projects..... :-) ) --miw |

BoincStats daily update for 6th Dec shows 118362 crds added today - that brings the total for the team to 17,005,610. And we are still just short of halfway through this assault. |
