I have downloaded Seti and it will not connect.

Your computer shows it downloaded one result correctly. So open Boinc Manager, go to the Tasks Window and check if that is correct.

If it isn't, please post the messages from your Messages tab here.

I guess I fixed it myself. I deleted everything and redownloaded
everything. It appears to work OK now. I will say I think I liked
the old Seti better than this"Boinc" one. It was a lot simpler.

Sure, but it was also a lot less secure (cheating was easy) and it didn't do much for science. In the first month that Seti through BOINC ran, it outdid Seti Classic in terms of actual data. So 6 years of Classic against one month of the new one. What would you choose? ;-)
