I understand everybody in this country doesn't agree with the decisions I've made. And I made some tough decisions. But people know where I stand.

"the French don't have a word for entrepeneur."
-George W. Bush

OMG this one is too funny...he should go get a dictionary and look up entrepreneur.

Yeah, I checked it out through "The Google". Wikipedia said -- "An entrepreneur (a loanword from French) is a person who undertakes and operates a new enterprise or venture and assumes some accountability for the inherent risks. In the context of the creation of for-profit enterprises, entrepeneur is often synonymous with founder.

Most commonly, the term entrepreneur applies to someone who establishes a new entity to offer a new or existing product or service into a new or existing market, whether for a profit or not-for-profit outcome (see entredonneur).

Business entrepreneurs often have strong beliefs about a market opportunity and are willing to accept a high level of personal, professional or financial risk to pursue that opportunity. Business entrepreneurs are often highly regarded in U.S. culture as critical components of its capitalistic society."

President Bush: "Peter. Are you going to ask that question with shades on?"
Peter Wallsten of the Los Angeles Times: "I can take them off."
Bush: "I'm interested in the shade look, seriously."
Wallsten: "All right, I'll keep it, then."
Bush: "For the viewers, there's no sun."
Wallsten: "I guess it depends on your perspective."
Bush: "Touche".

An exchange with legally blind reporter Peter Wallsten, to whom Bush later apologized, Washington, D.C., June 14, 2006

"Tribal sovereignty means that; it's sovereign. I mean, you're a — you've been given sovereignty, and you're viewed as a sovereign entity. And therefore the relationship between the federal government and tribes is one between sovereign entities."

"There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again."

I am pretty sure this is one in the desk calendar about the very curious language of Dubya.

Years ago, and despairing of the spelling ability of my 6 year-old daughter,
I said to her ... "Henrietta, I now know what I shall get you for your Birthday. I shall
get you a Dictionary ... "
Henrietta broke down in tears and said ... " ... but Daddy, what is the use of a Dictionary
if I can't spell ... "

BWAHHHHHH HAAAAA HAAAAA !!!!!

I think she was right !!!

Hey, Henrietta could have been President of the United States, but alas she was probably too intelligent.

"I had the opportunity to go out to Goree Island and talk about what slavery meant to America. It's very interesting when you think about it, the slaves who left here to go to America, because of their steadfast and their religion and their belief in freedom, helped change America. America is what it is today because of what went on in the past."

Has he used a dictionary?

He reads only what he has to. I suspect that he has not picked up a dictionary since he graduated from school.

i love this one from rummy

"Reports that say that something hasn't happened are always interesting to me, because as we know, there are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns -- the ones we don't know we don't know."

And all of rummy's knowledge is in the last category.

Those last, the unknown unknowns, are the ones that ensure that no battle plan survives contact with the enemy!

Other famous quotes by Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld can be found here. Does anyone else see a pattern here?

Thank you for that Sammie! George is not alone.

EDIT "Needless to say, the President is correct. Whatever it was he said."
