I would like BOINC to have the ability to resume a download in the case of a dropped/broken or otherwise lost connection. I would also like BOINC to be able to retry a download when the download fails with an incorrect checksum. |

I'd like this too - its a shame to have to reset the project with all these "failed download" WU's showing, it should be possible to right-click on the and instead of a greyed out "show graphics" it should offer "re-download" or similar. Also the .PDB should be an optional download as once it fails to download the .EXE and the dozens of WU's downloaded are useless so again its bin all the WU's and reset the project. Someones going to have to tidy up the mess from the last few days, those 500,000 WU's you had waiting are probably largely useless and not going to be returned from most users. The 5 PC's at work I attempted to convert must have so far downloaded some 200-300 WU's and have been unable to complete ANY of them (let alone start them as theres always some part of the .EXE or .PDB missing/corrupt). I'm sure i'm not alone. Also if I copy a valid .EXE and .PDB from one machine onto others they are ignored - go figure. M. |

That would negate the purpose of the .pdb file... > Also if I copy a valid .EXE and .PDB from one machine onto others they are > ignored - go figure. Hmmm... I've done this and it worked. You didn't copy to CD so read attributes got set or anything did you? |

Yes, it was me being silly - I've tried it again and it works! - reset the project (if you have crap around from failed downloads), quickly paste in the .EXE and .PDB (why is it 3x the size of the 3.20 one!!!) and then do a project update and it uses the files :D M. |
