To handle increased demand for more workunits, we are bringing another splitter online as quickly as possible. We are also working on increasing overall system performance. The overall system is experiencing twice the maximum load beta generated and is climbing. We are working to resolve the issues as quickly as possible

------

With 600,000 sign ups in sah classic in the first month when it went live....what did Berkeley expect. I know a lot of people were not betaing as they wanted to keep any credits they crunched and didn't want any hassles. Now this project is 'officially' live of course a large number of people would want to get in on the ground floor of the new project and with people bringing multiple machines over who need to download boinc and then attach and download the app etc the server load was always going to be HUGE!

Oh well...admin proves to be not very forward thinking again...but atleast they told us.

It also serves me right for not increasing my caching preferences from the beta settings so that boinc actually downloads more than 1 wu...doh!

Happy crunching....

After changing my preferences from 0.2 - 0.6 to 4 - 5 days of work, my machine went from requesting 35,000sec of work to 240,000sec of work. It then tried for about 5 hrs prior to getting it's first wu and the project then took another 2 hrs to give it the 7 wu's it was asking for to satisfy the requested work amount. Just an observation. At least I have work.

Well done admin!

Happy crunching..
