My computer is running fine. When I start running Boinc The computer hangs and gives the blue screen. A full reset without boinc and all is well again. Who can help me out?

Ok, if you run Windows 2000 or XP, or a version of either, you can check what happened in your Event Viewer. (Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Event Viewer .. sorry, I don't know what they're called in Dutch, I run an English version of Windows myself ;))

Alright, first things first. Errors in Windows are always given in hexadecimal numbers. Hexadecimal runs from 0 to 9 and a to f. So the error is 0x000000D1

Stop 0xD1 messages can occur after installing faulty drivers or system services. If a driver is listed by name, disable, remove, or roll back that driver to confirm that this resolves the error. If so, contact the manufacturer about a possible update. Using updated software is especially important for backup programs, multimedia applications, antivirus scanners, DVD playback, and CD mastering tools.

You did so by contacting Seti (Boinc has its own forums, but ... I'll let that slip. ;-))

Try updating to BOINC 5.4.11, which is the latest available. You will need to uninstall 4.43
Install 5.4.11 in the same directory as where you installed the old version, then all should be fine.

Report back if that fixed things.

Ok, I did update to Boinc 5.4.11. Run antispyware, adware, Ewido, and Hitman Pro. No Problems. So far this update, I'm still working on it.

Turned of the screensaver. I will report back later. Next thing I will do is updating my videocard drivers.

Don't forget to update on DirectX as well. (Even DirectX 9.0c has regular updates)
Motherboard chip set drivers can also be a thing easily forgotten.

I think, my problem is solved. I took all the actions you recommended. Still a "hang up". There were no more BSOD's. Then I ran TuneUp Utilities 2006 trying to optimize the computer and now it is working again. I will keep track for some time and report back. Thanks for your help.
