Very interesting, and mostly true.

2003 was when some of the details came unstuck with Iraq?
It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues

I heard all that peacenik stuff back in the '60s. If it didn't work then, it sure isn't going to work now, with all that jihad going on.

I really didn't post to PO anyone. From what I have seen and heard Canada is beautiful and has great hunting and fishing.
The closest I have been is Washington state, Maine and Michigan.
Oo... I almost forgot Montana.

I think you'd really like British Columbia, Jim. There's lots of beautiful nature spots there. :)

As Carl Sagan said If aliens land here tomorrow how do we explain to them that we spend 1 trillion dollars every year blowing each other up and buying weapons to blow each other up.

I guess those plans are only secret here in the U.S.???

Looks like it doesn't it? No wonder you are all so surprised how unpopular the US is internationally at the moment.

The Dogs Of War Lyrics
Pink Floyd Save up to 30%

The Dogs Of War
Pink Floyd
(Momentary Lapse Of Reason)

Dogs of war and men of hate
With no cause, we don't discriminate
Discovery is to be disowned
Our currency is flesh and bone
Hell opened up and put on sale
Gather 'round and haggle
For hard cash, we will lie and deceive
Even our masters don't know the web we weave
One world, it's a battleground
One world, and we will smash it down
One world ... One world
Invisible transfers, long distance calls,
Hollow laughter in marble halls
Steps have been taken, a silent uproar
Has unleashed the dogs of war
You can't stop what has begun
Signed, sealed, they deliver oblivion
We all have a dark side, to say the least
And dealing in death is the nature of the beast
One world, it's a battleground
One world, and we will smash it down
One world ... One world
The dogs of war don't negotiate
The dogs of war won't capitulate,
They will take and you will give,
And you must die so that they may live
You can knock at any door,
But wherever you go, you know they've been there before
Well winners can lose and things can get strained
But whatever you change, you know the dogs remain.
One world, it's a battleground
One world, and we will smash it down
One world ... One world
Capitalize on this good fortune, one word can bring you round ... changes.

I just cant find the links for it tonight, but... The US government has a regular group of wargamers to play out various simulations. One of the repeated simulations that is regularly played out is the "First Contact With Aliens Who Land" (or similar title).

The idea in wargaming it is to play out the various responses to different events that occur and to set out some protocols for what should be done and how we greet the aliens.

If anybody has a link to these strategics studies, please post that here, okay?

Thanks.
