The SETI@Home web site only shows my Classic points (1630). My BOINC manager shows 33782 total points. How do I get this fixed? |

Well, the amount of credits you see aren't your Classic WUs. According to your account, you had 1181 Classic WUs. They show normal. Your last contact was on the 27th of June 2005. What kind of messages do you get if you Update on Seti? (Open Boinc Manager, Projects tab, select Seti, press Update, then check your messages under the Messages tab.) Please post the last 20 or so here. |

Please post the last messages from the Messages tab here... without those there can be only guessing. Remember that we have no way of looking on your Boinc Manager what it says. |

OK... you have two accounts then. But that's easily found out. Please follow these steps: - Exit BOINC (for now). - Navigate to your \\Boinc\\ main folder (default at C:\\Program Files\\Boinc\\) - Find and open your account_setiathome.berkeley.edu.xml file. (A browser window can open this file). - There is a 32 character hexadecimal key between the <authenticator></authenticator> tags. Copy this key completely. - Log out of the website. - Go to this Seti website login link. - Paste the 32 character key in the Log in with account key box. Make sure there are no spaces in front or behind the key. - Press the button to log in with account key. - Check your account, or make a new post in this thread. See what your name comes up as. - Restart BOINC. |

post from other log-in. By Lone_Wolf_1971. :-) Do know that that account hasn't crunched one bit for team U.S.Air Force. But you're welcome. :) |

Thanks I reapplied for membership with the team already. I think it is fixed now. How do I prevent this in the future as I am setting up two other slaves soon. |

Make sure you sign the other computers up with the "existing user" option in the attach to wizard, at the same email address with password option/same account key. You can now check under Your Account what email address you used. You can change the password as well. |

Thank you for all your help. I am going in a new direction as the two slaves will be running Redhat Linux instead of winpains...LOL. Wish me luck. |

Good luck. :-) The method of attaching to your projects through Boinc on either of the OSes doesn't change much, though. As long as you use the GUI, it's easy. |

Good luck. :-) Not to go OT here but I have a dickens of a time trying to make the Linux Boinc file open and run! I have tried numerous version of Linux and NONE of them are intuitive to a Windows person. At least as far as opening and running Boinc files. I would LOVE to dump Windows on some off of some of my machines. I just can't figure out how to open the Linux Boinc file that I download. I download it just fine, it is either in a folder or on the desktop, I have put it many places actually. But there is no way to know which program opens it!!!! And of course each version of Linux has its own set of files and programs included. |
