I see the posting on the main board and see that splitting the CPU between Seti and another BOINC operated crunching device (Predictor, Climate, etc)...however I do nto see anything that tells me anything else that is new about the new Seti/BOINC...am I missing a link here? I looked through the site and may have just missed the listing of changes somewhere....can someone either point me int he right direction and/or post the actual changes ?

Can I use password security on my Screensaver now? That is my big question as I crunch on my work system where a password is a must and I know they talked about adding that in in future releases..

signed..

Perplexed at not being able to find the changes on the website...

The preemptive scheduleing is probably all you will notice. You may also notice that the pie charts on the disk tab have a new color for free space. I don't think the rest of the changes will be noticable.

that's not fair.

Reading user posting arround right now,
there is at least a risk also for:

FAT, FAT16 (most of the WINxx user, especialy oder PCs, runnig (FAT) FAT16 formated drives...)

so it's not fair to speak only about FAT32.

I support the statement
>Appart from destroying FAT32 partitions I don't know....

But please include as mentioned also the other FATs.

Myself decided to disable BOINC for the small win98er PC.
I don't like crashing systems, even under win98.
(even having working backups)

warm regards
