Share your favorite music videos with us here. Provide the infomations about it, you have.

One of my favorites:

Teardrop

Teardrop is one of Massive Attack's biggest songs and is from the album Mezzanine (1998).

The video, directed by Walter Stern, won MTV Europe Video Of The Year in 1999.

Another Massive Attack video is

Unfinished Sympathy

Unfinished Sympathy comes from the album Blue Lines.

About the video:

The video for Unfinished Sympathy was recorded in January 1991 on West Pico Boulevard between S. New Hampshire Avenue and Dewey Avenue in Los Angeles, CA. It features Nelson walking down the sidewalk unaware of her surroundings, which include drunks, gangs, and bikers. It was one of the earliest music videos to use a continuous shot. The video was the influence for the "Bitter Sweet Symphony" video by The Verve, which was in turn parodied by the video for the single "Vindaloo" by Fat Les.

And mentioning The Verve, the song Bittersweet Symphony from their album Urban Hymns is a real classic.

Bittersweet Symphony

About the video:

The majority of the video features Richard Ashcroft walking due north, on the east side of Hoxton Road, Hoxton, North London. The starting point, 94 Hoxton Road, is the South East corner of the intersection between Hoxton Road and Falkirk Street and the walk continues along Hoxton Road with few continuity errors. See this Google Maps link for an approximation of the start point. The video is a tribute of "Unfinished Sympathy" by Massive Attack.

Some of you will hate me for this, because this song is one of the most annoying pop-songs ever, at least I hated it back in the mid 90'.

But the video for Aqua's Barbie Girl is one of the greatest ever to underline the songlyrics.

Barbie Girl

About the video:

Aqua is well-known for their music videos, most of which followed a storyline of some sort. Due to their being one of Universal's biggest-selling pop groups, their budget for making videos has always been quite high. This has been reflected in their videos, which often appear to be cheesy, but tend of be accepted as fitting in well with their musical style.

The video for "Barbie Girl" is undoubtedly their most famous. The video features Lene as Barbie, and René as Ken. René asks Lene to "go party", and Lene informs René that he can "touch" and "play", and calls herself a "blonde bimbo". The music video caused a lot of the controversy surrounding the song, as it made the double meanings in the lyrics clear....

From Peter Gabriel's album So.

Don't Give Up

About the video:

There were two videos created for this song by Godley & Creme. The first consisted of a single take of the singers in an embrace, as the sun enters total eclipse and re-emerges. The second featured Gabriel and Bush's faces superimposed over film of a town and its people in disrepair.

Also from So:

Sledgehammer

About the video:

"Sledgehammer" spawned a widely popular and influential music video directed by Stephen R. Johnson. Aardman Animations provided claymation, pixilation, and stop motion animation that gave life to images in the song. The video ended with a large group of extras jerkily rotating around Gabriel, among them: Peter's daughters Ana Maria and Melanie, the animators themselves, and director Stephen Johnson's own girlfriend. Also included were six women who posed as the back-up singers of the song.

In 1987, it won nine MTV Video Music Awards, a record which still stands as of 2006. It ranked at number four on MTV's 100 Greatest Music Videos Ever Made (1999). MTV later announced that "Sledgehammer" is the most played music video in the history of the station. "Sledgehammer" has also been declared to be MTV's number one animated video of all time. The video was also voted number seven on TMF's Ultimate 50 Videos You Must See - first aired 24th June 2006.
