Plus I'm getting frustrated - how many others are getting declined WU's - how much time have you lost?? Are you telling me that, uh - what we are all caught up?? You don't need our CPU's as much any more?? Should I, or should WE ALL move on and find something else or what?? Where are the work units??? |

A news article on the home page explains the situation. They have some hardware issues with the science database to deal with. Try crunching for another project. |

Come on folks - really... Outages can be frustrating, but it is not a matter of life and death. Posting about the problem everyday, is not very productive either. Work will be available when it is, not before. Take a break, maybe do some maintenance on your machine, maybe join another project or two. Relax, life is too short to get upset about the project. |

Come on folks - really... increase your cache. it is a lesson I continue to learn the hard way, as well. most of the time 1 day is plenty to avoid burps or scheduled maintenance, but it is for these seldom outages that 1 day falls unacceptably short especially given that the increaseed cache to 3 or 4 days would, if accurately projected, keep machines busy. just in case: general preferences; connect to network about every ?? days. lessons learned. |

I hooked up to Einstein yesterday. It was only then, when I saw a blank tasks page on each computer that the data source had been cut off for two days. I didn't notice the shorter lists of units in my caches Sept 9. Maybe today the staff wants to take the day off and see the review of all that happened five years ago. |

increase your cache. Unless you're running more than one project in which case the smaller the cache the better. Grant Darwin NT |

Come on folks - really... /Mav We have lingered long enough on the shores of the cosmic ocean. We are ready at last to set sail for the stars. (Carl Sagan) |
