You forget that the US controls Iraq's airspace, Israel could just pay the US, on paper of course, for the fuel needed, and refuel over Iraq.

Cold Hearted I know but, lets just pull out of Iraq and move the troops home.
Then just use some low yeild nukes on Syria,Iran and southern Lebanon Just far enough away to give them a
taste if they dont stop the crap.

Only bad thing about that idea. The whole country would wind up smelling like Cleveland, Ohio.

You Notice that too? Everytime I drive through I notice it stinks.

I have a question that is going to sound like a TERRIBLE question to ask, so please keep in mind that I am not asking out of any support of terrorism or Anti Semetism.

Let's say that Israel does get destroyed...why is that such a big deal? It would seem that, if that were to happen, it would be one less thing for the Middle East to fight about.

2nd part of the question. What happens if Lebanon gets destroyed? Again, one less thing to fight about.

As I said...I do not support terrorism and I am not Anti Semetic. I am just curious as to what the implications would be in either event.

Ok. What about the second part? What if Israel, in the process of getting rid of Hizbollah and Hamas, destroys Lebanon? Would that make ( to use your analogy ) the bride justified in killing the husband?

Israel being the only bastion of freedom in the Middle East I can understand. But, I hate to say it, until one or the other ( Lebanon, Iran, Syria ) or Israel is gone, there will be no peace.

All a cease fire is going to do is give them all time to reload an regroup.
