just wondering if there is a 'protocol' in place in the event that work done yields an actual 'contact' signal. how will we find out about that (putting all skepticism generated by this subject aside for now, if possible ;-)?

Nobody...I wish we could all know the truth about ET, I think the
SETI Group is a noble organisation, I've heard Dr.Shostak in a
number of radio interviews,a fascinating listen to say the least.
It is sad to think that the Ferderal Government has a BIG hand in
the soup, but I'm afraid they do.
Richard Hoagland is another fascinating guy to listen to.

I just hope we can make,(or continue)to make "contact",
it will help us realize our own potential as a species...
if the Feds allow us to know the truth.
In the mean time I will always support Dr. Shostak and SETI.
