After reading a good deal of the comments on the Poll, and great suggestions in there I hope are taken up by Boinc Developers, I do wish to draw your attention to a main point also mentioned by many and that is both the expansion and easy use of boinc to the general masses. There are still a few HUNDRED MILLIONs of pc's not on boinc that SHOULD be.
Equally, being an advanced pc user as most boinc users seem to be as per results, I do believe the client needs to be refined for easier use in general and more specifically I suggest strongly that you consider a Simple Simple Simple version/interface that is for the Joe masses out there that could be a self contained EXE. NO installation. No mega options (if any). No account/login confusion. It should be as easy as run the exe. Boom your already crunching for Seti. Logged in automatically as a general public account (Not everyone cares for the individuality/credits). An advanced button for those that DO WISH to further the account/credit aspect as we have done to date.
An ADD button with dropdown list of projects (With grouping - Humanitarian/Maths/Fun etc) and description. Once added its auto crunching as well (This should be the case NOW as my client knows who I am, joining should be a single click). Also a simple rss style feed of any crunching issues and project unit progress.

3 clicks and 10 seconds in from running the exe and you have achieved what most people want or NEED of Boinc.


As for expansion, align yourself with the miriade of net possibilities. Why aren't you on the Google web page? Yahoo and so forth.
P2P as an auto install as some apps are. MSN. Xfire. +other chat alternatives. They all love a good humanitarian cause and the image that comes with supporting it. Newspapers from all over the world online. (As with the BBC project) Free Download sites. Boinc should truely be out there in common speak and as something everyone does or knows about. Marketing is an aspect which seems the last phase of Boinc's growth. It's time.
