I have my home PC that's not connected to the internet and my laptop that i take to a hotspot to go online. Isn't there any way that i can put BOINC on my system at home and transfer work from my laptop to it then get it back once its finished so when I get to the hotspot next I can upload all the info?

No, not at this point in time. This has been asked for many many times. There are more important things going on is the answer we always get from the big muckity mucks.
They can be contacted here if you are so inclined http://boinc.berkeley.edu/contact.php

Think i'll leave the "muckity mucks" alone for now. It would be nice if someone could develop an add-on with that feature. Its not everyone that has internet access every square inch of thier area. Us in the 3rd world need 3rd world solutions to contribute to SAH cause. Have had a lot of trouble convincing friends with computers and internet access to put a "3rd person app" on thier system. But i guess that is a topic for another thread. Thanks.

The muckity mucks have the issue on their plate but is not anywhere near the top of the heap. The point is, and has been for a long itme, to get enough hardware and the software in a good enough state to handle the influx of new computers before the change you would like is even brought to the forefront.
