Hi. I've been away from Seti@Home for the past seven years and have recently decided to delve back into this fascinating world. I've noticed that in my account results page, only current work is displayed. Completed work units seem to disappear from from my account display, even though the total is correct. How come I can't see completed work? Is this a known bug or an issue since I was a Seti@Home Classic user? Thanks, Alan |

It's neither a bug nor does it have anything to do with being a Classic user. To keep the database clean, all results are assimilated into the main database for further scientifical analysis and the records are deleted. As you have noticed, credits are still kept in the user's account reflecting their contribution. It's simply to keep things clean on their end so the database doesn't turn into a monster, consuming mass amounts of CPU time and HDD space on their servers. |

This is not the same as Classic. Only Cobbblestones and your Classic stats stay in your account. There is no counting of units done, like before. The online database would become so slow if they kept all those results, and they would need hundreds of TB of space to keep all that. The master database has all the information needed, so the online database is cleaned and compacted resularly to keep it from slowing down too much. My movie https://vimeo.com/manage/videos/502242 |
