What preferences are you trying to set> The preferences are located on your account page.

I am very aware where preferences are located! I need to have different preferences on different computers on the same account, I do NOT want more than one account!!! I would like to run Climate on one computer with Seti without putting it on all twelve. They are all hyperthreaded. To have Climate run with Seti, the preferences have to be set to ONE computer on each which changes preferences on the ones that are not running both!

Don't think you can :-(

As you have found, the preferences set on one host propagate to remaining projects and hosts. I don't know if that is something that is likely to be addressed in the near future...

Forgive me! I mistook what your request was.

I'm still not entirely sure what your problem is... You just not attach to CPDN on the computers that you don't want running it. If you have a certain group of computers that you want to have spcific settings, you can use settings for different locations (i.e. 'work' 'home' 'school'). Last time I tried to do this it didn't seem to work but maybe they have corrected this problem in the meantime or maybe it will work with BOINC v4

The last preference you update in your account is the actual one. The preferences work, school,... are not realy for special locations(you cannot choose them under BOINC client). Update one in your profiele and then update your BOINC client. Everytime you click update on your BOINC client it will get the last updated preference from the S@h page.

Soyou have to change your pref in your account for every client you want to ran another one.

I hope this was understandeble. If not, I'll try once more ;-).

Sorry in this moment I got another way.

Set the preferences in your account.
Then click on "your computers" (or something like that. Then select a computer and choose the location for this computer (its nearly at the and of the list).
