Cracked the 15,000 credit barrier today, RAC is 350+, all since 6/19/06 using non-optimised apps.

WHOO HOO!!!!!

Labbie, that's darn fast!

Well, I am using 3 PCs, one hyperthreading (2 processors) and the other two just singles, so that gives me pretty good crunching ability.

I had a look before making my post... I'm envious! Still building my network here, but ultimately I'm aiming at running 5, maybe 6 PCs, including domain server. Will be a while, but just watch this space! :)

Now you're making me envious...
Good luck and crunch hard.

First milestone... RAC has just edged over 100. it's now at 104.6. :D
using 5.4.9 and a Crunch3r optimised app.

just downloaded 5.4.11 and chickens 5.15 for SSE2 P4

hopefully that should improve things even more :D

Nice work, Stefan
Have vastly improved my crunch rate by the addition of a 1 Gig PIII which I bought for AUS$75
So it's not so expensive to build a "farm"! :)

Thanks, that's a pretty good deal you picked...I think...I'm not too familiar with AUS$...

I am so tempted by the neo intel dual cores...argh!

And I don't want to hijack this thread, so since after dropping SETI backing in May and picking it back up now, I've reastablished a RAC of 101 :D As of today!

Building a farm can be quite inexpensive if you know where to look. The electricity to keep it running, however, is a whole other kettle of worms...

Apologies for going off thread...

Back on thread...

Yesterday I broke the 25,000 barrier... today already 25,600 and over 7,200 for the last 3 days... Pretty small stuff yet, but looking at over 50,000 creds within 12 months of starting :)
