A 3-D rotating screen-saver? What's the theory here? That I don't every want to actually *know* what that information is? How about keeping it fixed in place so that I can read the thing. 3-D rotating is cool glitz, given. Maybe your bank will make your on-line account statement 3-D rotating so that you can't read your balance. That would be cool too, huh? Also, why is it that your *installation* program was spiking out my CPUS (both of them) to 100% every few seconds even though it wasn't doing anything? Don't you guys at Bezerkley know how to 'nice' your programs? I can teach you if you want. Oh, and apparrently I'm 'Filbin' again. Can't you guys hire a real programmer or something? |

Your sarcasm has been noted. At any rate, you can find instructions here on how to change it back to the SETI Classic non-moving screen saver. I personally like the moving screen saver. Just my opinion. It actually saves teh screen as opposed to a screen saver that doesn't move and burns-in the image because it doesn't move. But hey, we can't all be geniuses like you. Better yet, since the BOINC and SETI code is open source, and since they can't afford "real" programmers, why don't you "fix" it yourself? Nah, it's much better to be critical of other's work and make yourself sound smart. As for the installation program doing "nothing" but spiking your CPUs to 100%, are you sure it wasn't doing anything? Are you sure it was the installation program? |
