Seems to me that we need to buy MSVC co compile the BOINC client on Win32 platform.
BOINC is an open source project.
It would be very nice if we mustn't buy nothing to use it starting from the source.

MSVC is the tool used by the developers. If you do not want to help with the development, there should be no need to do anything but download the executables that have already been compiled for you. If you do want to help with the development, then you should use the tools that the developers chose.

No I prefer to download the open source and build myself prior to put an exe that have appended some closed gift from MSVC.

If I can help with develop, I'll can consider for sure.
But not if I need to buy anything.
