Why does BOINC need to act as a server? Is it necessary, or is client access sufficient? |

BOINC will (possibly) need to act as a server when the GUI/CLI client comes out. If it is not blocked when that style of client is released you should be able to control BOINC on any pc on your lan from one computer. If you don't have a lan or don't expect to use this functionallity then block it. John Keck -- BOINCing since 2002/12/08 |
