i would like to stop processing units or seti only use 50% of the processor during this period 00.00-06.00 because the pc is in my room and the fan, that is very silent, is always working. but i don't want to shutdown the pc because i'm downloading stuff (i have limits to the amount of download i can do during the day)

Yes. Go to "Your acount" at the top of this page, then select "View or Edit General Preferences", then change the option that reads "Do work only between the hours of" and enter in the appropriate information as to when you want BOINC to work.

Once you've done that, open BOINC Manager on your computer, select the Projects tab, select any project, then click the Update button which will force BOINC to download your new preferences from the web.

The next version will have an option to set BOINC to X% of CPU usage 50% would be one second on followed by one second off.

I will make a note to the dev team to add the capability to set this feature to the BOINC CLI. This way it can be changed with a system timer.
