The test system is 4 dual core AMD Opteron 875 CPUs running Redhat Fedora core 5
Seti sees it as 8 processors.
When run, seti processes uses only 4 processors.
Is there something special I have to do so it will use all 8?

Go to "Your Account / "General Preferences" change the value "On multiprocessors, use at most 2 processors" to 8 CPUs. After you have changed the parameters, you have go to do a boinc_client -update_project http://setiathome.berkeley.edu, or update it via the boinc manager.
After the change, the boinc client will download more WUs and start a app for all 8 CPUs.

This does not work on any of my multi-processor systems. I have two boxes running 2 dual-core Xeon processors. BOINC reports 4 CPUs, but only two work units are being run, despite my setting the maximum number of CPUs to 4. I set this parameter two weeks ago, so BOINC has had plenty of time to update itself.

It could be, that the boinc client has done this, please try to do manualy a update project via the boinc manager, or with the boinc client (boinc_client -update_project http://setiathome.berkeley.edu)
