Hello!

The Credits here are not so important for me...
Because we cannot buy something with them... :-)

But for the statistic they are interesting!

When you look to this WU, you can see two times the Boinc V4.45 with smaller claimed Credits and one Boinc V5.2.13 and a Boinc V5.3.12.tx.36 (my PC) :
http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/workunit.php?wuid=79843711

Then you see the different claimed Credits!
And it´s very interesting, the two V4.45 have different Credits!
And they destroy my/ OUR statistics! :-(

O.K. please update to min. V5.2.13! :-)

Greetings!

It cannot be from the side of S@H that they support & accept only min. V5.2.13?
That everyone must update?
Only a question! :-)

BOINC 5.2.6 or later is needed to accept FPOPS credit accounting. The S@H enhanced application reports the fpops_cumulative value, but you need a version of BOINC which will accept it and send it back to the Scheduler.

Crunch3r's 5.12 has a typo so it uses a 3.36 multiplier rather than 3.35. That slight error of less than 0.3% is negligible.

You might want to test and see.

Choose one of your systems, turn off new work and let the cache drain out.

Make a backup copy of your BOINC directory and (just on the save side) make sure you have the 4.45 installation source saved as well.

Uninstall 4.45 and install 5.4.9 and see if you can get it to work. Since I don't know what your issues are, I can't help. Besides, I didn't have any proxy issues before or now.

(NOTE: If you are running an Optimized App, you'll may or may not want to work on that at the same time. If you keep your cache low, it's easier to flush the cache out and then upgrade to the Optimized App as a separate step. If you're going to do the 2 step process, remember to remove the app_info.xml file from your project folder.)

If you can get it to work, you now have a migration path. If not, you can always fall back.

maybe version 5.5.x solve that problem
the next stable release will be 5.6.x (odd is development version, even is stable public/recommended releases)

and yes i agree, people should update, but average users don't think to check, so i think there needs to be some kind of notification system in the boinc client to tell users that they should update when there's a new release with significat changes (and besides the fact that 5.4.9 is more stable)

For a few days I had a little information about the new Boinc V5.4.9 !
In Boinc: under "Messages"

I cannot remember right...
it was like this:
A new version of Boinc is available... or
Please update to Boinc V5.4.9...

But, you can do the update or not!

You didn´t see it?
:-) You must read what Boinc is telling you! :-)

Hello!

I don´t know about proxies...
I don´t have... :-)

But they say:
Boinc V5.4.9:
SOCKS5 proxies are now supported!

You can read it here:

http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download.php?platform=win&version=5.4.9&type=win_new

Now you "must" update! :-)

Greetings!

Hello!

O.K., but I hope someday they support & accept only Boinc (V5.2.6 (reply of Josef W. Segur)) or V5.2.13 and higher (WUs)!

Greetings!

:-)
