The climate predict BOINC says: "climateprediction.net - 2004-08-25 16:13:57 - Message from server: To participate in this project, you must use major version 4 of the BOINC core client. Your core client is major version 3." .. so I'm confused. SETI@Hone/BOINC is using 3.2, so why is Climatepredict being billed as somethign we can run alongside SETI if it requires a newer version of the BOINC cllient than SETI ?? Richard. |

> That's right. Climate Prediction requires features available in core version > 4.xx. Currently, neither Seti nor Predictor@Home have migrated to version 4. > They both will only run on version 3.2. P@H will upgrade sometime in > September. Seti will upgrade... well... someday. THEN you will be able to > attach to multiple projects. > > I do not know about the P@H. But, S@H has already stated that they are moveing to v4 tomorrow, 26/08/2004. Which is also the same day CPDN is going live with BOINC. So I bet that you will be able to do an upgrade, to version v4.05. Which is currently listed on CPDN. And be able to do S@H. Even if you did do so. You would have to wait until S@H servers are told to use the new version. |
