"SETI@home is a scientific experiment that will harness the power of hundreds of thousands of Internet-connected computers in the Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence (SETI). You can participate by running a screensaver program that downloads and analyzes radio telescope data. There's a small but captivating possibility that your computer will detect the faint murmur of a civilization beyond Earth. SETI@home is scheduled to start in April 1999." more . . . http://www.inetsonic.com/piskun/Archives/Seti/sah_nov1998.html Copyright © 2006 University of California ~ BOINC Synergy - 100% BOINC who needs any other reason? ~ TFFE TeAm |

Hey, has anyone heard from Paul D. Buck lately? I remember when I was a noob to BOINC and had a bunch of questions needing answers and he seemed to have them. I know he had some real life issues to deal with but haven't heard what has become of him over the past couple of months. Thanks. Founder of BOINC team Objectivists. Oh the humanity! Thanks for the link captain. I also wondered where he had been lately. Sorry I missed saying goodbye--he was such a great asset to the S@h community. Sad to see him leave. Hope he decides to return some day soon. |
