Have installed more than once the Boinc several times. Sorry not impressed. Can not log on to the Berkely site for work and can't figuare out why. Have been with program for years both under this E address and an older one before. Please help. Really do not want to drop from the system but the old SETI home was very user friendly and I had dozens of friends on the program also. Is there a way to just get back to the old Program. Please Please help.K Working on a Tochiba Sat which has run the old program with out any problem at all. Please send response to lornakay631@yahoo.com |

To request my email address is not cool! Your answer is here....the older Seti Classic is dead and buried, it is not coming back, ever. It ran out of money, the only way to exist in a Scientific environment is to find new ways to get more money. For Seti Boinc is it, or nothing at all. You say that you cannot connect, please post the messages from the messages tab so we can help you. You did read the main Boinc page saying that the project was down both Tuesday and wednesday for awhile each day, right? It is back up and running now and you should not any problems. Do you have a firewall? If so turn it off and try and connect, if it works then you have a firewall issue, not a Seti issue. If it does not work, try using a proxy, they are available here: http://www.publicproxyservers.com/ click on a list on the top left of the page and choose one. Enter it in to the Boinc Manager under Options, Options, http proxy. If neither of these two things work paste your messages from the emssages tab here. |
