I have machines at three different locations with three different sets of prefs. I have gone to the computer pages countless times and set particular machines to particular locations, and in the past month have never gotten them to 'stick'. I have tried going from the computer page back to the home page (no back button in browser), I have tried manual refreshes from the command line, and nothing works. If I can't get this straightend out, I will have to pitch the project -- not getting work from the project is frustrating, but having the machines working on the project when they are not supposed to is unacceptable. I would think this would be a high priority.

All boxes are Mac OS X 10.3.5 running the command line version.

Thanks for any suggestions --

You may wish to just run SETI classic. The BOINC environment is fragile, untested, and still being stabilized and performance tuned.

If you wait a month or two, others will get this enivronment shaken out and you can possibly come back to a stable, working environment.

Thanks for the quick reply! I understand the difficulties the project has been going through with regards to scaling and DB management, etc., but I would have figured the prefs part would have been pretty solid after the alpha and beta testing. Ahh well :)

I guess I will just quit for a while and check back to see how things are going (I don't want to get my cron stuff all set up again for classic - i was looking forward to the controls offered by boinc)

Thanks again!
