My completed ones were also returned. First units in a along time. I am full of Predictor units to do first but it's good to see some new SETI units.

Dingo,
I myself was suprised that after detaching and reattaching from the program earlier in the day I actually recieved 2 WU's per machine. Not much but a positve step.

Regards,

Rocky

But I followed the advise and detached/reattached and for no apparent reason it seems I (the project) lost some 50-60 wu's plus the ones I had uploaded in the period from August 11 plus the hundreds I've uploaded since July 28...

I am not in this for the credits. I am in this for delivering scientific data to someone. It seems the result of my efforts aren't going anywhere.

Greetings from Kirsten, Copenhagen, DK

Hi All,
I spoke to soon, I now have full caches on all boxes. It is nice to be back in business.
Can anyone tell me for my own education purposes. I run Windows XP on 2 of my boxes, and I have been running Classic during our down time. If I set the priority in the Task Manager to "Below normal" on Boinc, and set Classic to "Low", should they both work all right. After I did this I noticed that boinc was using 48% of the resources and Classic was using 41% of the resources. The rest was "task manager and system"... very low amounts.

I was just curious because they both appeared to be working correctly, however I closed down classic.. to avoid any issue until I get responses from this post.

Thank You Very Much in Advance.

Happy Crunching,

Regards,

Rocky

Seti V3.08 and SetiBoinc v3.20 will run together without HT. However, the performance of both will be degraded to some extent. With HT you can assign CPU affinity. Also, Boinc V4.02 and Seti V3.08 will run together.

Warning Will Robinson! Boinc clients V3.20 & V4.02 are incompatiable on the same host even if you try to run them from different folders in Windows. The reg keys will bite you on the ass. Go ahead and try it if you like cleaning up a real mess. ;-P
