Sorry for posting here also...

First I saw BOINC on my PC trying to download another
version of SETI and a "better logo" or something like that. It did not succeed connecting to the server and now I wait and see. I suppose it has something to do with the fact that SETI went back to BETA ?

On my MAC I am having "process signal 5" error since
SETI is back online a few minutes ago. Again it must have something to do with the fact that SETI went back to BETA ?

My PC will eventualy update itself when it will connect to the server but I don't know what to do for
my Mac.

Was there a beta version for Mac 10.2.8 ?

Thanks for help
Marc

Thanks

My PC finally connected to the server and updated fine. I received lots
of WU and it's running now.

I still trying to figure out how to update "backdate" my Mac. I am not
very good with UNIX command...and I don't know where to find the current
working version or if it even exist.

I don't worry too much, there will soon be other MAC users having the same
problem and we should be able to worked that out.

Regards
Marc

Thanks Ric

This is a long story...Berkeley did not compiled a boinc version for OS 10.2.8
and we had to do it ourselves. The version I am currently using has been compiled
by a MacNN team member and it worked fine for me untill yesterday when they
switched back to BETA. My PC updated fine because of the GUI but I have to do it
manualy on my MAC.

The problem is I can't find any BETA version that would works under OS 10.2.8

warm regards
Marc

The versions proposed there are the same I am currently using.
I am now searching thru the web for an older version. I found
and tried a 2.12 version but it didn't work.

Thanks again
Marc

GOT IT !!!!!

here is what happened it my helps others.

BOINC updated automaticaly to SETI worker 3.08 witch is not working on 10.2.8
I just had to reinstall the compiled version from scratch. I am now running
the same version as before yesterday's update and it works.

What confused me is I haven't noticed my worker has been updated by BOINC.
I thought the new "format of WU" wasn't compatible with my compiled version.

Ouf !.....

Sounds a little confusing but at least it works and my MAC is crunching again.

Marc
