Did a small amount of account alteration ended up with a duplicate machine, merging seem to have been turned off (This function is currently disabled) for some time.

Any idea when its going to be back?

Best to read it yourself in the Technical News page. 01-Feb and 14-Feb are the important dates to read.

Oops! Didn't read the news as I normally get it via another site. A site which has always been virtually up to the second with news here, but this week seems to have been abandoned judging by lack of news. >(

Ah well. No biggie for now.

A new minor version of mysql just came out. We'll try to install it tomorrow. There is a non-zero amount of hope this may cure the merge bug. Key word: non-zero.

OK, for accuracy sake, a 0.000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001127%

Good luck, Matt.

I have a question.

When the merging function first starting functioning again after the MySQL upgrade, I tried merging two computers but got an error message in return.
I tried the merge process 2 times.

But, after these 2 failed attempts at merging, the newer host has been given the credit of the older host 2 times, without being merged.

I just merged two other hosts, and it worked! YAY!

But if I merge the first two hosts I was talking about, the new host will then have the old hosts credits 3 times over.

I don't suppose anything can be done about this??????????

I had a duplicate machine show up on my computer list. It showed it last contacted on the 30th. I'm pretty sure I have looked at my computer list and would have noticed it between now and then.

Here is the twilight zoney part.

It wouldn't let me merge it like the normal new machine showing up on the list. All the credits were still going to the original.

It did let me delete it though. Then it confirmed the deletion. After that out of nowhere I notice at the top of the page it says something about that they had no record of that machine.

Strange.
