After much searching, I am finally making a request for an answer I couldn't find. I have come over from Seti@home to Boinc. It states in the FAQs that only the people from Predictor@home do not have a fully functional screen saver. However, I go to blank screen whenever the screen saver kicks in. I have clicked the "Preview" button in the window where I set up my screen savers, and it shows the graphics for Boinc, and also when I'm in the Boinc project manager, I can click "Show Graphics" and see it. But those are the only times I can see what it looks like. How can I get it to show when my screen saver normally kicks in? (And no, I don't have "Go to blank screen" box checked for my screen saver set up.) So I really don't know what's left. Thx for the help. |

Thx for the help. i have a computer that does that too...i have integrated Intel Extreme Graphics on that computer which may have something to do with the problem...since my computer crunches faster without the screensaver...it doesn't really bother me...but it would be nice to know for sure what the problem is. Try this Control Panel > Power Options Then see what the "Turn off monitor:" setting reads, if its the same time delay as your screensaver, or sooner, the computer will be blanking the screen to save power. Try setting it higher. Life on earth is the global equivalent of not storing things in the fridge. |

K, the "turn off monitor" time is listed as 20 minutes. My screen saver kicks in at 3 minutes, so I guess that's not it either. Thx for trying though. Was hoping it would be that simple. Hehe |
