I have been attempting to attach one of my computers to the Boinc SETI since a reformat 3 weeks ago. I am unanle to do this. I would like a definitive statement if this is related to current hardware problems, and if so so indication as to when this might be resolved. If not can simeone enlighten me what im doing wrong (using URL and account emailed by project) |

Any time that the servers are down, it is impossible to attach to a project. The URL that you shoule be using is http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/, but since the schedulers are down the connection will not happen. I wish that I knew when the schedulers are going to be back up, but I don't. If you have another machine that also has BOINC installed, you can copy the projectsetiathome.berkeley.edu.xml file from the BOINC directory on that machine to your machine with the newly formated HD, and restart BOINC. This will work and it will attach when the servers come back on line. |
