hi ev1, i had 2 computers dooing boinc seti but one is fryed, i manage to save the hardrive and trafered 12 wu i had on it to my main rig.
why question is how do i get my maine rig to reconize thoose wu?
i tried reinstalling boinc and it still dont see thoose units...and yes i have them in the correct folder :)
any help would be deeply apreciated

You are not supposed to be able to do this at all. Not being able to transfer WUs from machine to machine is an anti-cheat technique.

I have asked this question myself, and the answer given to me was that there was indeed a way to do it but it would require the modification of so many files that it wouldn't be worth the time and effort to do it...

I had luck running the boinc_cli from a command prompt using a boinc install that is on my USB key which I move around.

Even if it is possible, you really shouldn't be doing it. Work units are no longer sent out to whoever asks for them. They are sent to a specific computer and the result is expected from the same computer. If you change this, it could have 'unwanted' effects on the database and/or your credit. I don't think the validator would accept the returned results from computers that weren't assigned to that work unit. Or at least it shouldn't... The work units will expire and be sent out to another computer. Just let it go.
