I'm working off a laptop (see my 'puters), and find myself more of the mentality "if it ain't broke, don't try an' fix it", so I'm hesitant to go messing about with alternate software options at present...

Any thoughts, peoples?
[..Cx..]

That should be "if it ain't broke, fix it until it is"! :p

Anyway, I'm just coming up to 2/3 of a million - if that counts as a landmark. ;)

All systems well and truly fixed until they broke. ;)

Be lucky

Neil

Wow... 300,000... Three-hundred thousand...
Congrats, Dogbytes! . o O ( My.. what big teeth you have! )

As for moi,

5, 0 0 0 credits yesterday, for SETI. =)

By my elementary mathematical calculations, that's more than 1% -- and in fact closer to 2% -- of Dogbytes' credits! Woohoo! ;>

.. and a RAC of 120 or thereabouts (it's *wobbling*!)

Just passed 10,000 Credit and 450 RAC
Also topped my team after the addition of yet another puter to the 'farm'

Top Cruncher: AMD Athlon 64 3200+ (2.2GHz clocked to 2.5GHz) 1GB RAM
Latest addition: Celery 1.1GHz and 384MB RAM

Every PC counts, no matter how old and slow.
I still run an old Compaq laptop with AMD K6 @475MHz 160MB RAM (1 WU/day (82,000 seconds) down from 113,000 seconds thanks to Optimised client by Crunch3r)

I'm slowing down the RAC as some PCs are being 'harvested' from the 'farm'. :( Bummer.
