Ok this time this is really starting to piss me off!!

I just installed Boinc (I wonder why they choosed this name, this must be the sound that their servers is producing when crashing, this means at least once a day) and it's the same situation than about a month ago : no work units from those @*&#!! servers.

WU's come and WU's go...Thursday I got 23...today I can't even get a scheduler to respond...either to upload or download. Don't judge perfomance on one days experience.

Seti@Home and BOINC must both be experiencing problems. I have not been able to get a scheduler to respond at all today or yesterday and I just tried to upload/download the Classic Seti@home and it won't connect at all. I sense something big must be going on.

The last post I saw on the BOINC homepage was they were waiting for a UPS to arrive to be hooked up to their new Serve. Who knows? All I know is just be patient and keep trying.

If this was an isolated incident, I'd agree, but BOINC is plagued with such problems, and in the roughly 1 months that I've been a member, BOINC has been "down" more than it has been "up", for one reason or another, not to mention that SETI Classic is stomping the crap out of BOINC in WU completion. So what if it's repeated WU's, they have to be repeated for me to get credit on BOINC from at least 2 other users and that's when the software is functioning properly and sending/receiving WU's.

Unlike SETI@Home classic, BOINC has moved to a new system of giving CREDIT. The most important difference is THREE (3) people around the world have to return the work unit (and the results be the same) before credit is given out to you!

Mostly when I get WU's, I get a ton at a time, so...

Looks like the Cogent-link just was down for roughly 15 minutes, so therefore impossible to upload/download any seti-work. The web-servers isn't using the same line out, so therefore it was up the whole time.

'Pretty much' in the Beta stage? That's a very kind representation. They just produced a solution to their database that they admit to be in the alpha phase. The berkley reputation has taken a bit of a smudge in the last month with BOINC.

I gave up using seti classic a few weeks ago, I couldn't even retrieve a userinfo.sah when installing seti.

Still no wus dld for boinc since yesterday.
