What is Error -108? I had BOINC, it ran fine, uninstalled it by accident, reinstalled it, and keep getting that message. I am always connected to the net. It says Runtime Acception Error -108, a problem with the file dignostics.c How do I fix it? I've reinstalled over 3 times! |

I don't know for sure, so only guessing, ... Probably some integer operation that got into the fault ? Some of this things also used to happen on some workunits with the old Seti@Home1 (Classic). Could happen when numbers get excessively big or small and calculations go down the drain,... dont worry. Crunch another one if WU's are available. Somewhere on this pages (don't remember where there was some errorcode list) look perhaps in the Boinc part to compile yourself the code... Greetings from Belgium ;-)) |

Hi, Error -108 is FOPEN, so it seems that for some reason a file open operation is failing. I would try a 'clean' install - delete completely the BOINC directory (folder) - then install again, preferably with a new download of the BOINC/SETI client. The list of error codes that 'H P (Mr. Linux) New' mentioned is here. --
Regards, Paul - Just slowly BOINCing along...
|

Thanks you guys! I figured it out myself though... I got the BOINC directory from my other computer in which it worked, and copied it to my other one which wasn't. All is well, now. |
