I have just started the Climate Prediction Dot Net BOINC Beta version 4.03. However they say that Seti Boinc 3.19 is not compatible with this new version so I would be unable to run both. I would like to have them both running at, say, 1/3 Seti, 2/3 CPDN, but it appears that I will have to choose between the two projects. Is there a compatible Seti client on the way. |

I've been running the CPDN program for almost a year and having switched to Seti BOINC recently after nearly 3 years Classic, having both projects running as BOINC seemed like a good idea. It seemed like a reasonable question that others who are also interested in these two projects might have. With the problems the Seti guys are having just now I've had to detach and revert back to Classic anyway as I haven't been able to get any WUs from them for almost a week. Hope they can sort this soon so as not to put off newcomers. I've tried to get back into my original message to edit it as you suggest or even remove the question completely, but it won't let me in. Once again sorry for blowing the whistle and thanks for you reply. |

They are not ready to cope with a large number of people moving over yet. |

I've seen several online publications mention CPDN in the past couple of months, some mentioning the move to BOINC, and just about anyone visiting the site, even if just to participate in the new program, should notice the "Beta" tag on one of the options, iirc. If it is a secret, it is one of the poorest kept secrets around... |

What they want under wraps is the URL they sent to the beta group. <a> [/url] |

Like the Alpha project it is by invitation only. Unlike Alpha, it will open up to everyone at some time in the future. |
