I leave my comp on all the time, but since installing BOINC the screensaver doesn't kick in at all - doesnt matter whether it's set to run continuously or only when I'm not active, doesn't matter if I've set the boinc ss or a different one. OS is W98SE, my other computer also running boinc when comp not in use has no problem, runs on ME. Can anyone help me get my screensaver functionality back? thanks |

I have the BOINC screensaver running on a win98se machine and it seems to be working correctly. Make sure you have BOINC's time to blank set to something when running the screensaver. John Keck BOINCing since 2002/12/08 |

The problem is now NO screensaver works, nor does the monitor switch off when it should, also none of the links in the control panel work unless I go to the .cpl file in the system directory, right click, and select "open with control panel" uninstalling boinc has not solved this problem. I suspect my registry is broken. Is there anything I can dop short of a full re-install of windows? > I have the BOINC screensaver running on a win98se machine and it seems to be > working correctly.
