On the old seti there was a feature where you could "touch" a file named stop_after_send and that would let the seti software know to not get any more work after it finished the current work unit. This was useful if you needed to shut the computer down for a while for some reason. Is there something like this on BOINC? I have looked and don't see anything that fit the bill although maybe I just haven't had enough coffee this morning. 73 49 111 01001001 |

Hi Stephen BOINC has such a feature. In the boinc manager at the projects tab, there's a button "no new work" or something like that (I use the Dutch version). If you push that button, no more WU's will be downloaded but the WU's on your machine will be processed and reported untill the cache is empty. Good luck. |

I saw that before but it was "grayed" out. I finally got it that I have to highlite the current wu before it will let me use it. I think you got that mixed up. The wu's are under the work tab. You need to go to the projects tab and highlight the project that you no longer want work from. Then press 'No New Work' button. This will drain that projects wu's. If you have multiple projects that you want to do the same for just repeat the above steps for each project. 98SE XP2500+ @ 2.1 GHz Boinc v5.8.8 And God said"Let there be light."But then the program crashed because he was trying to access the 'light' property of a NULL universe pointer. |
