The one time I was acutually able to run Seti@home using Boic (I'm havent run a work unit for two weeks now), the screen oscillates annoyingly.

I'd much rather see that RAM used for work processing than bouncing the display around so that I can't see what's going on.

Another idea: Just not use the screensaver!

I stopped displaying it right after the first days of seti-ing in 1999 because I want to have all free cycles for Seti and not have a screensaver eating up half of them.

I agree the oscillating screen is annoyingly (and unreadable) but I can under stand the reason for the oscillation. Someone was trying to prevent the sceen burn-in problem the occurs on CRT display when something is display the does not move for a long time (like a screensaver).

Jim K lists a web page that tells how to stop the oscellations but it doesn't help the readablity problem (fuzzy letters).

Good Luck
