I have been using the classic seti program for over 10 years now. However I lost my password to that account and the email linked with it is now dead. I found the user_info.sah but cant figure out how to open it to get the information out of it to paste to the box. I guess its the price I have to pay for being an old user.. My old user ID was Everlost

You can open the user_info.sah file with any word editor like WordPad or Word.
Select to open any type of file.

Seti didn't start for real until 1999. Unless you are living in a parallel timeline, it's been closer to 6 years.

Are you one of the people who thought it up in 1994?

Hi Thierry-
I think a seti@home account I made at work a couple years ago might have somehow replaced my much older home one when I mistakenly logged in at home with my work account info. Would doing something like that overwrite the user_info.sah file on my home computer?

Another question relating to your signature (Before posting, look if your question has been posted already)--I can't find a way to search the forum. Am I missing something?
Thanks.
