Hi SETIaner,

I have a question wheather somebody of you know where I get a special wallpaper. This paper should show in realtime where on earth is day and where is night(like in mission-controll of ESA, NASA,...). I would like to see that it is connected with the system clock and actualist every x seconds.

there are several wallpapers arround, many shows day & night, most of them let you specify a city, and the "night/day" is shown from this city.

It's for KDE Linux or for a m$ system or it's a mac?

there is no further infos from your note, so it's difficult to help.

why don't you go to google and make a seach about "earth and wallpaper" ?
it gives you many good link to explore.

That's clear,but I search a special one for WIndows 2000.
It shouldn't be only a wallpaper from the earth, you should the the day-night zone move over the wallpaper (see picture, dark and lightend zones should move depending on system clock).

If you go to http://www.fourmilab.ch you can find not a wallpaper but a screesaver and other utilities that does just this.

This is the website of John Walker, founder of Autodesk (AutoCAD) who has put out a lot of things for free :)

There is another screensaver from the Star Alliance company (air flights). It can be downloaded here.

Information about it can be find here.

At http://www.fourmilab.ch, you can go to Home Planet and download the lite version if you want or just the screensaver.

Greetings from Belgium.
