I´ve upgraded a host with a new cpu from amd tbird 1400 MHz to a amd xp2600+. I can´t merge the hosts old id into the new id assigned by the xp 2600+. That sucks!!! im only able to merge the old id into a already assigned id to a athlon tbird wich has already got an id but the whole domain does not match. This is a serious BUG !!! |

It was designed this way. You can only merge hosts if the hosts have the same CPU and OS otherwise they are not considered the same machine. I don't know all of the reasons for this design, but it is part of the design. |

> This is a serious BUG !!! a couple of day ago I "merged" a pentium4 3,0 GHz with a pentium III 1.0 GHz, was nice to see, the credits went to the smaller cpu.. both same OS. >No, it is not a bug. It was designed this way. sorry for my posting, I like the word "designed", designed is (good)paperwork, the reality sometimes fits more or less to the designs. He clawhammer64, had the same problem. guess could solve it, but here is not the right place to go deeper inside. If you like, provide me an public email adress. It's a pleasure to share, what the "desings" let you do... and please: LET THE BUGS ALIVE, there are sweet, little and unloved animals. ric |
